Barbican Weekender
As a social media journalist we were invited down to the barbican to take part in the cultural event. Although are focus is on the 2012 olympics, the cultural event was an opportunity to get involved and experience the feel and atmosphere of the event. This was very useful as we could acknowledge from the event and use some of the ideas and creativity towards the 2012 olympics.
Today at the barbican there were a variety of events. The barbican hosts cultural events in the spring and the summer. These events are advertised to all age ranges. The barbican hosts these events for two days, saturday and sunday. The event is free and is welcome to any one that wishes to take part. The barbicans next event will be in the summer on the 23/24 of july, saturday and sunday.
The event seeming to get the most attention so far seems to be the PIG. The event consists of a giant blow up pig where members of the public can view what is inside of the mysterious stoma
